When a manufacturing client in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area was looking for the perfect epoxy coated concrete flooring system they called Floorcare USA.

This Milwaukee, Wisconsin manufacturing client wanted epoxy coated concrete floors that would be:

• Easy to Clean
• Easy to maintain
• Highly chemically resistant
• Eliminate concrete dusting
• Perform under industrial conditions
• Offer a decorative element to the joint use area as its production and an office.

First this manufacturing clients concrete floors were mechanically steel shot blast, then the concrete control joints were diamond saw cut and filled.The concrete surface was then patched and repaired utilizing fast patch epoxy patching kits and the patches were troweled smooth and level.100% solids epoxy primer coat was applied and then a base coat of 100% solids epoxy concrete resurfacing epoxy was applied and the epoxy base coat was broadcast to full rejection with Decorative Flake. These Decorative Flakes are specially engineered to be compatible with epoxy to provide a beautiful and unique look to the floor. Once the first coat of Decorative Epoxy Flake was applied, a second coat of 100% solids epoxy resurfacing system was installed and another full broadcast of the epoxy decorative flake was performed.

Then a clear grout coat was installed to bring a uniformed surface profile to the finish. This is where often times Floorcare USA Inc., is different than other epoxy and concrete coating applicators in Wisconsin, Illinois and throughout the United States as often times this is the point in the process where other contractors stop working. Epoxy coated concrete is a good product but it is not the best product for the wear coat, the finish coat, the final coat of a resinous epoxy coated concrete flooring system.
Urethane coatings are the best performing top coat system.
After Floorcare USA, Inc., completed the epoxy and flake portions of the project Floorcare then installed a final Clear Coat of CRU – Chemical Resistant Urethane to the surface as the final wear coat.
