Milwaukee, Wisconsin has a rich brewing history and when a new craft brewer in the Milwaukee suburb of Waukesha, Wisconsin wanted to open up a new facility they called on Floorcare USA, Inc., to help them with their concrete floors.
For the Back of House (BOH) floors, this Waukesha, WI craft brewer needed a concrete coated flooring system with the following performance characteristics:
Floorcare USA engineered for them an alternate to traditional epoxy coated concrete floors: Urethane Modified Cement Shop Floor System with High Traffic Urethane Topcoat. This is the most desirable form of a concrete coated flooring system for food and beverage production facilities because it performs better than traditional epoxy coatings in the area’s of importance most critical to food/beverage facilities.
For the Front of House (FOH) floors, Floorcare USA, Inc helped this Waukesha craft brewer with beautiful stained concrete coated floors.
First a round of samples were performed to help the client select the color that best met with their approval.
Then Floorcare USA, Inc., mechanically diamond grinded the surface to remove all residue from previous floor coverings and this process revealed salt and pepper aggregate.
Once the concrete floors were diamond grinded, Floorcare patched in all the holes and chips in the floors and then diamond saw cut clean the concrete control joints and filled them with polyurea joint filler.
Once the patching and joint filler was completed, Floorcare then applied the client selected concrete stain colorant in a thorough and uniformed application to the diamond grinded concrete and allowed the acid based concrete stain to saturate the concrete.
Once the stain application was complete, Floorcare then installed a multiple clear coat application of Tennant Coatings, epoxy coating system in clear and then performed a top coat of Tennant Coatings Wear Guard HTS, Satin Finish in clear.
